Erykah Badu is a wild card. Even after all these years we still don’t know quite what to expect from her. Recently, she’s been hanging out in New York performing at Dave Chappelle comedy show on Friday and then at Spike Lee’s “Do The Right Thing” block party, celebrating 25 years since the film was released.
And though she’s a busy woman, she still had time for some shenanigans.
She just so happened to be walking past New York’s Pix 11 reporter Mario Diaz in the middle of a live broadcast on Friday and decided to have some fun with him. Badu walked into the frame wearing a large, white hat and a devious smile. From there she opened her coat to flash her outfit and then she used her hands to insinuate coitus. And then to top it off, she inched closer to the reporter, attempting to kiss him.
But Mario wasn’t going out like that. He blocked Badu with his forearm and an excuse me and finished his report. Clearly, neither Mario nor the anchorwoman in the studio recognized Badu.
Later after the dust settled Erykah tried to deny that it was her in the live broadcast, but eventually she came clean apologizing to Mario Diaz.
Diaz took it in stride, tweeting a Prince lyric.
