[Watch] Eve, Soulja Boy And More Pop Up In First Trailer For Oxygen’s “The Sisterhood of Hip Hop”
We told you about the new show T.I. is producing for Oxygen called The Sisterhood of Hip Hop. The show is supposed to follow women rappers like Diamond (formerly of Crime Mob), Brianna Perry, Bia, Nyemiah and Siya as they work to get their careers off the ground, juggle and try to maintain strained and complicated relationships, and try to interact positively with one another.
Well, the first full-length trailer for the show has surfaced, and if you ask me, it doesn’t look bad! The women (Siya in particular) have talent, and it seems that most of the conflict comes from their relationships with lovers and family (and family members who also double as managers), than with other cast members. There are also appearances from Soulja Boy, who of course, was in a relationship with Diamond for a while, Rick Ross, Tank, as well as Eve, who offers positive words to frustrated MC Bia.
As is stated in the trailer, “The game is hard enough for women so we all need to Kumbaya. That sounds cliche, but it’s the truth.” And that’s what we’re hoping the ladies will do when The Sisterhood of Hip Hop finally hits TV screens.
The show premieres on Tuesday, August 12 and it looks like it’s worth at least one watch before coming to any real conclusions. Check out the trailer for yourself below and let us know what you think.
