NASCAR Driving Hard for Hip-Hop Fans

(Indianapolis Star) — Hardly anyone associates stock cars with musical sensations such as Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane. But NASCAR, a rival of the Indy 500 for fan dollars, is trying to bridge the countrified world of race tracks and the urban aura of hip-hop.  Music chronicler Vibe magazine is slapping its logo on rookie driver Darrell Wallace Jr.’s race car and promising extensive editorial coverage in support of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program.
