‘Roll Up!’ Wiz Khalifa Launches New Line of Marijuana Accessories

June 18, 2014  |

Gee — we didn’t see this one coming.

If there was anything Wiz Khalifa could capitalize on, it’d be his — erm — “Snoop Dogg-esque” reputation in the hip hop industry. According to TheBoomBox, the We Dem Boyz rapper is launching a line of rolling papers, tips, and trays for the  “puff, puff, pass” enthusiasts.

Khalifa is joining forces with RAW Rolling Papers, a company the Roll Up rapper has been patronizing for years. “A relationship that began backstage, based on mutual respect for each other’s work, evolved into a groundbreaking partnership,” the press statement said of their collaboration with Khalifa.

Thus far, the critical reception for Khalifa’s pot entrepreneurial enterprise has been positive. Quite a few find his new venture to be a smart business move:

“Pittsburgh-bred Wiz Khalifa […] made one of the savviest decisions that will not only keep the Taylor Gang happy, but will enhance his image as one of the forerunners of the stoner rap movement,” OCWeekly Blogs wrote. “This is easily one of the smartest thing the rapper could have done in the lead up to his latest record, Blacc Hollywood, which has yet to be released.”

High Times called it a “match made in heaven.”

The new line of Mary Jane accessories, adorned with Wiz Khalifa’s signature packaging, is slated to hit stores next week with a second roll out later this summer.

“I’m really excited to have my own line of papers with RAW. I’ve been using the product for years and it only felt right to make this happen with them,” Khalifa said in the same press release.

This isn’t the first time Amber Rose’s beau has expanded his brand. Khalifa has launched his own Chuck Taylors and even created a collection of headwear, via Flat Fitty, called the Fry Dye Bucket Hat.
