Don’t Know What You’ve Got ‘Til It’s Gone: Robin Thicke To Name New Solo Album, “Paula”…
Ever since Robin Thicke and Paula Patton announced their split in February, the singer has been on a public sympathy tour in order to get her to take him back. He’s talked about it with the press, at concerts, performed songs for her at award shows and even written a song called “Get Her Back,” to well, maybe get her back. But a song isn’t enough for him. According to MTV News, Thicke has already started work on his seventh studio album, which will be titled, Paula. That’s right. Paula. “Get Her Back” is the lead single from the upcoming album, which will be a declaration of his love for his estranged wife. But while he’s making all these attempts to get back on her good side, Patton hasn’t really said whether or not she wants to take him back. In a recent Vanity Fair article, the most she said about Thicke and their split was that she would always love him.
“We’ve known each other since we were teenagers. All I can tell you is there’s a deep love there—always was, and always will be.”
Thicke will have a chance to preview some new material from the album for his lady love (or just sing “Blurred Lines” for the upteenth time) when he performs at the BET Awards on June 29. While I would love to see these two reconcile, as I’ve stated before, it’s starting to seem like Thicke is milking his marital issues a bit for attention and album sales…but if it gets Patton back, then I guess it’s all worth it, right?
