RHOA Reunion Part Two Recap
The Ring Didn’t Mean a Thing
Kim was very nonchalant about not liking “The Ring Didn’t Mean a Thing,” her diva antics on the tour or not paying Kandi in full. Kandi on the other hand cried her eyes out about the entire situation. For Kandi it wasn’t about the money made from “Tardy for the Party.” It was the principle that Kim listened to her attorney and didn’t think Kandi was owed more money. Kim claims she paid Kandi 33% of the royalties, but her attorney told her she didn’t have to pay Kandi that much. So in a roundabout way she made Kandi feel like she was being taken advantage of, resulting in Kandi just giving Kim the money back. Kandi estimates the song made between $80,000- $100,000 and Kandi only profited $3,000- $4,000. In what world is that ok? It was like pulling teeth to get Kim to admit she owes Kandi money. Andy asked her three times if she thought she was more vital to the process than Kandi. We never got a clear answer. I hope she pays Kandi what is due her because anybody who creates a hit record for that voice is truly gifted.
