If you caught the preview for season three of VH1’s “Hollywood Exes,” chances are you probably witnessed cast mate Jessica Canseco nastily tell her co-stars that “black and white don’t mix.” Andrea Kelly recently spoke out about Jessica’s comments and interestingly, she says that she’s not the least bit surprised by her cast mate’s words.

“Because I’m aware I’m not shocked,” Drea told CocoaFab. “I think that women need to take a deep look at themselves and not divert what they’re going through.”

“When it comes to Jessica, everyone knows how I feel about that,” she continued. “You have to be responsible for what you put out and how you put it out. If you put out hate and then feel like you’re getting hated on, don’t be shocked.”

This of course, wouldn’t be the first time Jessica has offended her co-stars by making thoughtless comments, but it appears that this latest stunt may have damaged their relationships beyond repair.

“You have to be woman enough to back u what you say. For me, race is not an issue at all. My problem with the situation is, you can have a black man but not a black girlfriend,” Drea explained. “You could be with a black man but you would have a problem with his black mama. His black auntie? His black daughter?”

Drea adds that Jessica’s statement was simply of reflection of the racism that she had already been harboring in her heart.

“It wasn’t brought up in a way that we could be empathetic to Jessica. It was not a discussion,” she said. “That’s one of this things that I hate that racist people say. ‘I have black friends.’ It’s not a race thing. It’s not a love thing. The problem comes when you put stuff out there and you’re not clear about it. What was made clear to us was ‘White girls and black girls don’t mesh.’”

“For it to roll off of her mouth so easily proves that’s something she feels at the very core of who she is.”

“She thinks its OK to date our men but the women she doesn’t like very much,” explains Drea. “If it wasn’t for a black womb and a black vagina, he wouldn’t be here.”
