Wrongfully Terminated, Agnes Davis Turned To Her Love Of Swimming To Make Things Right

MN: Tell us about your swimming company and what makes it unique?
AD:  I am saving lives and breaking the cycle of generational fear of water. Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional injury deaths worldwide. We get children and families into the water and teach them on their level so they can be empowered and not only learn to swim, but prevent stress and diseases like hypertension and cardiac issues.

MN: What was the cost to launch your business?
AD: I took $3,000 from my savings and did the following: purchased swimming certifications, insurance, opened up a business account, incorporated, rented pool time at City College, got a website and printed flyers.

MN: Share with us a pivotal moment in rebuilding your personal brand?
AD: The moment I surrendered and accepted that being wrongfully terminated was a blessing in disguise things got real clear for me. I could not see that at the time because I was broken. The minute I stopped my pity party, shut up the voices in my head, dug deep within, and got in touch with my spirituality, the blessings started coming one by one.

Agnes Davis’ RESET: Channel that you deserve more and trust in God. It is hard to believe that when you are going through something that all will be fine. That is when you call upon faith, create a winning plan and pray.
