Floyd Mayweather Says He Put Shantel Jackson And Abortion On Blast Because She Lied About Having Miscarriage; Jackson Responds
There really is no good reason for Floyd Mayweather to have publicly embarrassed his former fiancee, Shantel Jackson, in the manner in which he did yesterday. If you’ll recall, he took to social media to explain the real reason why he claims they broke up, now that everyone knows that she’s been getting acquainted with Nelly as of late.
“The real reason me and Shantel Christine Jackson @missjackson broke up was because she got an abortion. I’m totally against killing babies. She killed our twin babies.”
Mayweather went ahead and also posted an image, which he quickly took down, of the paperwork for her ultrasound results. People in his camp told TMZ that he posted all her personal business online because he felt “betrayed” that she would go and date Nelly, an alleged old friend, and he realizes it was wrong. But according to TMZ, in a quick interview Mayweather just did with Big Tigger on V-103 today, he said he put her on blast because she deserved it for telling him she miscarried their babies, when she actually had an abortion: “I received some information that was false.” It’s unclear if this was the cause of their breakup, or if he just learned of this recently.
Mayweather said he found out about the abortion not through Jackson, but with the help of a member of the crew of his new reality show on Showtime. The individual somehow got their hands on a document that showed she went through an abortion. As he put it during their interview, “I was in love with a person I didn’t really know.” Their relationship ended weeks ago, but we know that she went ahead and moved on with Nelly. Knowing of this, Mayweather found a reason to snap, and went off about her online yesterday after revealing the abortion news, posting before and after images of Jackson to show the plastic surgery she had (that he claimed to have paid for) and painting her in an unsavory manner, acting as though he basically brought her to where she is now. According to TMZ, he also claims that he still pays for her mother’s home and that she sold a Bentley he bought her to pay her way in LA after they broke up three weeks ago. And according to Complex, while he’s upset by her alleged lies, he says that he still loves her on some level (and he’s a little pissed with Nelly right now, taking subtle shots at him during the convo with Big Tigger).
But Jackson isn’t struggling in the way he thinks, in fact, she doesn’t seemed so fazed by his recent actions. She took to Instagram to post this message:
“Head is up, and I’m off to the spa.”
Mayweather has a fight on Saturday night against WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana. Many betting and covering this weekend’s fight say that with all the things going on with his personal life, he might be distracted come Saturday. At least, that’s what Golden Boy Promotions CEO (his company is co-promoting the big fight) Richard Schaefer told USA Today.
“There’s no question about it, he’s distracted. Clearly, with a day or two to go until fight night, against without question one of the most dangerous opponents he’s fought, his focus should be 100% on the fight.”
But Mayweather says people don’t have to worry about him being distracted come fight night: “God only made one thing in this world that’s perfect—and that’s my boxing record.”
But what do you think of his reasoning for putting her personal business out in the streets and publicly chastising her?
