In an exclusive statement put out via Us Weekly, Porsha Williams says that she’s sorry for her behavior during the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion. The catch is, she’s not sorry to Kenya Moore for the attack, but that the women on stage and viewers at home had to view such behavior.
“I suffered severe bullying since I was a child, to the extent of contemplating suicide and was also physically and mentally abused in my marriage.
Throughout the season on Real Housewives I was manipulated and bullied and at the reunion taping when emotions were heightened.
I was pushed too far with objects waved in my face and my personal space was continuously violated, and I reacted in a way which I am not proud of.
Violence is not the answer and I want to apologize to my fans, the viewers and the other ladies for my behavior.
For the thousands of supporters that have stuck by me I thank you immensely and encourage you to donate to shelters for abused woman and support charities that stop bullying. As I mentioned on the show I am embarrassed of my reaction and the way that I handled the provocation and I am dedicated to helping others learn appropriate ways to cope with bullies and abusers and from this experience I hope to continue on a path of personal and spiritual growth.”
Williams has been on something of a press tour (including stopping at Access Hollywood Live and The View) explaining her behavior and revealing that not only was she bullied by Moore, and bullied as a child, but that she was abused by ex-husband, Kordell Stewart (she alluded to this on RHOA, but never said yes to the abuse questions). She told these outlets that she felt threatened by the scepter that Moore was pointing her way, but Moore is calling BS on Williams through her Twitter page. She said this about Williams’ appearance on The View:
“@SherriEShepherd@theviewtv unfortunately biased…same as when Nene was allowed to come on and trash me.”
And she said this about that scepter Williams felt threatened by:
But what do you make of all that Porsha Williams has had to say recently about her behavior and what she dealt with while married and as a kid?
