After debuting in 2011, the show was cute, but came off a little corny for viewers. And then when another acting opportunity looked like it was going to open up for star Tracee Ellis Ross, she jumped ship from the show after the first season ended. In a weird limbo for more than a year to see if a second season could happen since the lead actress was gone, eventually, BET pulled the plug on the series, and the whole second season which had actually already been filmed.
