Not Just Shutting Down Home Depot: Mimi and Nikko Breaking Records At Vivid
Mimi might be hanging up her maid outfit soon. Swinging from shower rods may be paying the bills in the Faust household from now on.
TMZ is reporting that according to Vivid Entertainment’s Steve Hirsch, “Mimi and Nikko: Scandal in Atlanta” is one of the hottest pre-sellers they’ve seen making more than $400,000 simply off the trailer. The video is set to drop in its entirety on Monday on Vivid.com.
TMZ recently reported that home improvement retailers nationwide were selling out of super-strength shower rods with speculation that customers wanted to imitate a particular scene where Mimi pulls an impressive move. If Home Depot’s shower rods are anything like their faucets, we hope 911 has extra EMT’s on standby.
Mimi Faust is best known as one-third of the love triangle between her child’s father, producer Stevie J. and his girlfriend Joseline on VH1’s Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta. Joseline repeatedly insulted Faust with the term “Molly The Maid” in reference to Faust’s successful commercial and estate cleaning service, Keep It Clean Inc.. Now it seems the only place Mimi is cleaning up is at the bank. She was reportedly paid $100,000 for the video, which may sound pretty solid but dims in comparison to the $500,000 Kim Kardashian was offered upfront for the tape that made her super famous. Kim was also contracted to receive residuals which Vivid almost rarely ever gives. Shortly after news of the tape broke, Mimi responded on Twitter by posting booking info and a picture that stated “If you don’t pay my bills…” with a woman who’s appearing to say “Shhh.”
Mimi better hope folks keep talking if she wants to continue make a financial come up off the freaky flick alone. Unlike Kim K., Mimi and Nikko were virtually unknown to audiences outside of Love and Hip Hop fame. We hope she invests wisely and inks a deal with Lowes or something.
