“I Just Hope That NeNe Finds God”: Marlo Responds To NeNe’s “Man-Ho” Comment On WWHL
Personally, I think it’s sad to watch two former “friends,” two grown women, air out their middle school like beef for the media to run with. But since there’s not much else going on in the entertainment/pop culture world, I’ll just put this out there for you all to discuss…again.
Many of you cringed watching NeNe’s “Watch What Happens Live” interview with Andy Cohen. When she wasn’t looking irritated with the whole process, NeNe took time to drag former BFF and bridesmaid at her wedding Marlo Hampton, calling her man-ho. Real cute.
Well, you know Marlo wasn’t going to take that lying down. In an interview with Radar Online, Marlo said she found NeNe’s interview to be childish.
She told Radar, “How elementary is that name calling? She’s a grown, happily married woman. I’m completely appalled by her childish actions. Man-Ho? Really? That’s low.”
And while most of us can agree that that’s true, it didn’t stop Marlo from stooping to her level.
“If she’s going to be dirty about my looks, well, let’s talk about that nose job. Her nose job needs a nose job!”
But she didn’t stop there.
“She’s still under construction. That nose job is still not right. I’m not being mean. I’m just being honest.”
During her WWHL interview claimed the dissolution of their friendship really began because of the alleged drama that Marlo caused during her wedding.
Hampton says that’s not true and NeNe didn’t begin to distance herself from her until much later. In fact she said the star of the RHOA in vied her to hang out at least five times after the wedding and the two kept in contact via texts and phone calls.
“She’s just upset I filmed with Kenya Moore. At one point, NeNe thee-way called me with Cynthia Bailey. She was like, ‘I heard you’ve been taping with Kenya. I don’t like her and I want to know whose team you’re on.’ Well, I told her, I’m on Team Marlo, and you can’t tell me whom I can and can’t tape with.
And that’s when things went sour.
“When she heard that Kenya and I were at the Herve [Leger] fashion show in New York, NeNe went crazy! She called me yelling, ‘What are you with her for?! Get away from here. I don’t want you hanging with her.”
The two communicated one more time after that through a text message but there was no resolution. In fact, it went from bad to worse.
“We were both just like, ‘Don’t call me. You’re blocked!'”
Radar asked Marlo if she ever thought she and NeNe could be friends again, she said:
“it’s definitely possible. I just hope that NeNe finds God. I believe her fans deserve the truth and feel she needs to revisit the commandment, ‘Thou shall not lie.’ Oh, and I wish her nothing but the best in Hollywood.”
Oooo chile. When you bring the Lord and His commandments into your beef, you know it’s real.
It would seem that as an outsider looking in that NeNe has a lot of clout when it comes to RHOA and so Radar asked her if she was worried about losing her position on the show. Marlo insisted that NeNe had no power to kick her off and she told her fans, “Don’t worry. I’m not going anywhere.”
