“22 Years Ago I Was Lost”: NeNe Leakes Speaks On Criminal Past And Mug Shots Being Revealed
Last week, information about NeNe Leakes’ criminal past was leaked out, including various mug shots that the reality star probably didn’t want the world to see. And while she has talked about her struggles and getting involved with the wrong people as a young single mother in the past, she never spoke about the specifics, including being charged with three felonies for theft. As we previously told you:
Star magazine obtained documents from the Athens-Clarke County Superior Court which proved that Leakes was arrested and charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor in 1992. The charges were for “thefts of services” from the phone company. NeNe, Linnethia, was 25 at the time.
She came to a plea agreement and plead guilty to all four counts placing her on a two year probation. She was also ordered to pay $2,650 in fees.
But during the next two years, NeNe couldn’t keep her nose clean. She was arrested three more times for violating the terms of her probation.
Since this information was spread, Leakes hasn’t said anything, but just a couple days ago, she decided to address the dirt that has been dug up about her. For the most part, as of late, Leakes has been focused on going far on Dancing With The Stars, but she took a break from all that to share this brief message about her past and how she moved forward:
“22 yrs ago I was lost, scared, trapped & a single mom! I care enough abt myself 2 change my life & u can 2! Wit God, anything is possible”
Much respect to Leakes for changing herself for the better. We’ve all got a few bony skeletons, right?
