Williams: Marketing Analyst at American Express
What lesson or skill did you learn at that job that still impacts how you work today?
Williams: I learned how to influence customer behavior through user experience design. I have applied this skill in so many ways. I apply it directly when I’m thinking through digital marketing strategies and tactics, but also more broadly [when thinking about] how to influence product consideration and purchase decisions. It helps me take off my marketer hat and put on my consumer hat to really think through how I can engage a customer and meet their needs.
