Hughes berates Berry and Mo’Nique for their Oscar-winning roles

At TV One’s programming showcase, media mogul Cathy Hughes, who is the founder of TV One and Radio One, was dishing out a few choice words when it comes to the academy’s recognition of Mo’Nique’s role in “Precious” and Halle Berry’s portrayal of Leticia in Monster’s Ball. She really went in. Check the video below:

A writer at Black Voices says Hughes was being a little hypocritical considering the content broadcast on Radio One is often less than flattering.

What do you think about Hughes’ comments? Was she spot on or was it a little “crabs in a barrel-ish?”
