Chris Brown To Spend 23 Hours A Day In His Cell; His Mom Sends Comforting Message While Karrueche Checks Folks On Twitter

March 19, 2014  |

As Chris Brown begins his time (a little bit over a month) at the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles, according to TMZ, he will spend a majority of that time by himself–for his own safety. According to TMZ, Brown will spend 23 hours a day in his cell, a form of solitary confinement (not “in the hole” solitary confinement that you’ve seen in Oz…or Orange Is The New Black), but solitary time alone because of his celebrity, so he won’t have to interact with other inmates who might try to harm him. Brown is allowed to work out in his space, and read books, but according to reports, he will only be allowed to take showers every two days. The troubled singer will have to deal with these conditions at least until April 23, when he has to face a judge about his assault case for allegedly beating up a man in D.C., which occurred late last year. If he’s convicted, Brown could go to prison for probation violation.

While he deals with all this on the inside, on the outside, his mother, Joyce Hawkins, has posted a message of encouragement for her son on Twitter, saying:

Hawkins was said to have broken down in tears after the judge ordered Brown to stay in jail until April on Monday. According to Rumor Fix, she told reporters that Brown “would be fine.”  As for her statements, it wouldn’t be the first time she posted statements in support of Brown. After his rehab time was extended after the completion of his 90 days (before his most recent arrest), she posted quite a few messages standing up for her son and blasting his critics:

On the other side of things, while Karrueche Tran and Brown have split (for reasons that have been attributed to everything from Rihanna, to Brown texting random women), Tran still supports the singer. Someone posted a photoshopped image of a Tweet that said “Don’t drop the soap” after news of Brown’s month in jail, claiming it to be from Tran. Once it was spread around, Tran jumped in to let folks know that they needed to stop:

Craziness. What do you think of everything that’s going on with Brown, and what his mom and his ex had to say about things? Share your thoughts below.
