TI, Tiny And Their Family Pay Homage To The Cosby Show By Dancing In New “Family Hustle” Commercial
Who else is excited for the new season of TI & Tiny: The Family Hustle? It premieres on Monday, March 31 at 9 p.m. and we’ve already had the chance to take a peek at what we’ll be seeing in the show’s fourth season. But in a new promo spot on VH1 for the show, the family pays homage to the classic intros for The Cosby Show by busting a move with one another. It was a cute idea, and though the Harris crew couldn’t fully commit to it (hey, the promo is only 25 seconds, what routines can you really pull off that quick?), it still came out quite adorable.
In the spot is the entire family, including Major, Deyjah, King, Domani, Messiah and the very grown Zonnique. If you’ll recall, from seasons two to eight, Bill Cosby and the cast of The Cosby Show danced in the show openers, and at one point, pulled off a cool dance routine in Caribbean-inspired clothing, choreographed by Geoffrey Holder in season five.
As pointed out by Black Celeb Kids, this isn’t the first time TI, Tiny and their clan have shown love to the Huxtables. In a shoot for In Touch magazine, they recreated a famous promo image of the Huxtable family. In the spread, TI also commented on some fans of his show trying to compare his family to the Huxtables:
“It’s flattering, though I like to think of us as a unique piece of our society! The Huxtables are more conservative, older and from a different environment. But we share unity, strength and prominence.”
Check out the promo below, as well as all the intros from The Cosby Show underneath it and let us know what you think.
