T-Boz Confirms A TLC Book Is In The Works

March 18, 2014  |

Quite a bit was revealed in the highly controversial TLC biopic “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story,” but group member Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins says there’s a lot more to the story that has yet to be told. Luckily for curious TLC fans, a book detailing the group’s journey will more than likely be released in the coming months.

“We’re working on a book,” T-Boz recently revealed to Billboard. “The movie was great but it’s hard to cram three stories about three different girls in a 120 minute film. So, expect a full length book to come out in the near future.”

She adds that the group also has a few other projects in the works, including a tour and a couple of clothing lines.

“We’re going back on tour. I can’t give away too much but, we do have some clothing that just came out in Forever 21 and H&M. I’m just blessed to be here 20 years later, still touring and doing what I love. I’m having a ball.”

In the interview, which served as a tribute to TLC’s fallen group member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, Chilli and T-Boz also discussed Lisa’s determination to live a full life prior to her passing.

“She did the things that she wanted to do, no matter how anybody felt,” Chilli expressed. “She just did Lisa. She was a fearless woman; I’m not that fearless. I wish she was still here. She would encourage anyone to follow their dreams. She was the type of person who wanted to help everyone.”

Considering how much controversy followed their biopic, one can only imagine what will be revealed in their new book.
