MadameNoire is known for paying homage to the African-American men who contribute to our race’s history. Hence our Black History Month tribute called, Vintage Evening Eyecandy. Although the month of February is over, we could not pass up sharing General Colin Powell’s 60-year-old selfie.
ABC News reports that as a teen in 1954, the General took this black and white photo of himself at 16 years old in his bedroom with a non-digital camera. His caption for the photo on his Facebook page announced:
“Throwback Thursday – I was doing selfies 60 years before you Facebook folks. Eat your heart out Ellen!”
After her Oscar-worthy selfie, it seems like Ellen DeGeneres has some competition!
