Time Travel: When You Go Matters
Skip “peak season” when many people take their vacations and are traveling. During peak season most everything will cost more–flights, hotels, tour packages. But destinations are usually off-peak when the weather isn’t great, such as during hurricane season.
Instead opt for “shoulder seasons,” which is in between peak and of-peak. Find out when the shoulder season occurs for your desired destination. “For instance, April through May and mid-August through October are ideal times to travel to Europe, when the weather’s still nice but there aren’t too many tourists,” reports Women’s Day.
