New Tips for Growing Long Natural Hair

February 10, 2011  |

Today’s natural African-American hair tip has caused a bit of debate in the long African-American hair community. Check out this black hair advice, after the jump…

– Trim Natural African-American hair

Though some argue that trimming natural African-American hair doesn’t help natural hair grow, because natural African-American hair tends to be curly and susceptible to splitting regardless of trims, we recommend trimming natural hair, if you want to grow long African-American hair.

When you trim the hair, you prevent the breakage at the tip from splitting even further up the strand of the natural African-American hair. A once-a-month trim will suffice in helping to grow long African-American hair. Be careful that when you ask for a hair trim at any salon, you don’t end up receiving a hair chop.
