Technology Leaders Of Color Gather At SXSW Interactive For Movement 50
As SXSW Interactive gears up, tech experts of color are preparing to discuss issues of importance to the digital arena and to the black community with Movement 50, a program platform that spans across three days. Previously called Blacks in Technology @ SXSW, Movement 50 (MVMT50) has partnered with companies including Hello Beautiful, EA Games, The Grio, EbonyMag.com, and others to provide even more events, panels and discussions for 2014.
Media mogul and all around businessman Nick Cannon and actress Reagan Gomez-Preston will be at the Hilton Garden Inn this weekend conducting one-on-ones. And MadameNoire’s own Moguldom Media will be represented at a panel discussion on Sunday — “When #BlackTwitter Attacks” — that will “discuss the dark side of Black Twitter and the social responsibility of its members.” Panelists include managing editor Anslem Rocque, consultant David Dennis, both from Moguldom; Bossip’s Janee Bolden; and Ebony.com consultant Jamilah Lemieux.
