Diva Alert! Celebrities Who Are Notoriously Hard To Work With
Being a celebrity definitely has its perks: lavish salaries, cushy dressing rooms and an arsenal of people hired to ensure your happiness, among other things. But even with all the extras some fussy celebs are just too hard to please. Their bad attitudes, outrageous demands and rude behaviors have branded them the worst of the worst celebrities to work with.
Casting directors beware! Here are 12 on-set divas who are notoriously difficult to handle on a professional level.
Nicole Beharie is just one lead role into her career and already she’s established a reputation for shorting stylists on their pay and biting people’s hands. All we can say is step aside Naomi Campbell!
We already knew Nicki was a mess onstage at American Idol – getting into fights with Mariah Carey and arriving 13 minutes late to a live taping – but offstage the diva was reportedly even worse. Sources say Nicki always showed up with a ridiculously large entourage, refused to take pictures when asked and was rude to contestants and their family members.
And let’s not even pretend Mariah doesn’t deserve a spot on this list either. Mimi is well known for having a laundry list of demands, being late and not getting along with co-workers. (See previous slide)
Not only is Lindsay Lohan notorious for making crazy demands on set and being extremely late, she’s also been accused of stealing jewelry, clothing and shoes from wardrobe departments – twice! Once when she appeared on Anger Management and a second time when she was working on the Elizabeth Taylor biopic Liz & Dick. No wonder Oprah had to tell her “cut the bullsh!t.”
In 2013 J.Lo lost out on performing in front of 60 million viewers at the opening ceremony of India’s cricket tournament over a slew of ridiculous demands. Sources say J.Lo’s over the top requests included a private plane for travel and dozens of hotel rooms for her entourage.
In response event officials dropped her name from the entertainment roster with a quickness and hired Pitbull to take her place.
It didn’t take long for Christina’s diva ways to come to light. Soon after joining The Voice reports began surfacing that the 33 year old is notoriously late, travels with a large entourage and is way too demanding. Other celebrities that have come across her path professionally have also been quick to note Christina’s outright rudeness.
Kelly Price has had a long successful singing career, but flubbed her reality TV debut when her diva ways and rudeness to costars and production staff got her swiftly axed from season 1 of R&B Divas LA.
Katherine Heigl is such an on set diva that The Hollywood Reporter branded her demands, complaints and antics just “not worth it.”
It’s no secret that Stacey Dash is difficult to work with. Her bad attitude and failure to cooperate got her booted from the set of Single Ladies (news that former costar D.B. Woodside said he celebrated over) and reportedly got her fired from the film Supremacy. And given her habit of making controversial and unnecessary statements all the time we’re hardly surprised.
Ice queen alert! Sources say Gwyneth Paltrow is extremely rude to co-stars, journalists, production staff and anyone else she deems below her.
Six months after Iron Man hit theaters, news of Terrence’s difficult behavior on set surfaced. Producer Jon Favreau was reportedly so turned off by Terrence’s hard-to-work-with ways that he downgraded his role as Col. James Rhodes from main character to supporting.
Don Cheadle replaced Terrence for Iron Man 2 and 3.
Shannon’s bad attitude and inability to get along with costars got her fired from both Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed. Now the only jobs she can book are commercials for online colleges.
