T.O. Files For Divorce From Rachel Snider, But Wants Her To Pay His Legal Costs And Lawyer Fees
Either times are really, REALLY hard for Terrell Owens, or he’s just content living a very trifling life. And considering that he just got a child support discount from the mother of his daughter, Dasha, under the conditions that we would actually spend time with their child, AND his soon-to-be ex-wife claims he married her for her money, we’re thinking it’s the latter.
According to TMZ, even though Rachel Snider allegedly wanted to split because she felt that Owens was using her for her money, and trying to get a loan from her so that he could finance a million-dollar home in California, Owens was the one who filed for divorce, and he did so on Valentine’s Day. And while she also says they were married for two weeks, in the divorce papers, Owens says it was really only three days, from January 23 to the 26th. According to TMZ, the couple had a five-year relationship that Owens kept on the low, until he secretly married her in late January and word spread. Of course, after their split, news also broke that Snider tried to commit suicide because of her heartbreak.
While they have no shared property together from their uber-short marriage, according to court documents, Owens wants Snider to pay for his lawyer fees and court costs for the divorce proceedings. It’s unclear why he is asking her to do this (maybe he thinks since she’s the one who wants to divorce, she should pay up), but it might have a lot to do with the fact that T.O. isn’t working. Though word is, at 40, he thinks he can still play in the league, and if a team will have him, he’d like to go back to collecting that NFL money:
“They brought up my age when I was 35, 36 and I’m still in just as good shape as I was then. Jerry (Rice) played until he was 42. At 39, I ran a 4.43 40-yard dash. You look at the number of dropped balls and the way guys are playing now and you can’t honestly say I can’t do better.”
But no matter what his work prospects are looking like, his private life is looking quite the mess.
