The odds of winning Best Picture are 1:8, but The Weinstein Co. already pulled in one win at the box office. Although it didn’t the reach astronomical sales of Gravity, Philomena pulled in 583 percent return on investment. The sweet, pseudo-indie drama grossed $82 million worldwide; production costs stayed low at $12 million.

*Gravity made so much it was unfair to keep it in the running.
