Things are really heating up on Bravo’s Blood, Sweat, and Heels! We caught up with cast members Daisy Lewellyn and Mica Hughes to talk about daddy issues, alcoholism, that frightful incident in the Hamptons, and more.

ESSENCE.com: Mica, you found out her father passed away shortly before the group’s trip to the Hamptons, which ultimately led to that ghastly encounter in the Hampton’s. How did it feel to watch that episode?

Mica Hughes: It was really hurtful to see myself like that. I had family members who contacted me who said they cried watching the episode. To go through that and then have to watch myself go through it was really hard.

Daisy Llewelyn: Melissa and I weren’t there so I was very nervous and anxious about seeing it. I was almost in tears because I just felt so bad for Mica.

It was like she was walking into a lion’s den. At one point I almost yelled at the screen, ‘She just lost her father! Oh my gosh!’ They didn’t know her father had passed away but they were very aware that she was going through a hard time. If they were to lose a parent, they would definitely want compassion and I hope they never have to experience what they made Mica experience.
