2014 is off to a pretty exciting start for “The Voice” coach Christina Aguilera. Just last week the singer-turned-reality-star revealed that she’s engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Matt Rutler. The love birds met in 2010 on the set of “Burlesque” where Matt worked as a production assistant. She announced the engagement last week on Valentine’s Day via Instagram by sharing a photo of herself wearing a rather large diamond ring with a caption that read:
“He asked and I said ……”
Apparently an upcoming wedding isn’t the only big news that Christina has been sitting on. According to TMZ, the “Beautiful” singer is also expecting her second child. She also shares a son with ex-husband, Jordan Bratman. It’s currently unclear how far along she is in her pregnancy.
News about the little bundle of joy was first leaked by Matt’s mother, Kathleen Rutler, who accidentally (or maybe not so accidentally) spilled the beans during an interview with In Touch magazine. When asked about rumors that the 33-year-old singer decided to take a season off from “The Voice” because she was planning a move to the East Coast, Kathleen shared the news.
“I don’t know what their plans are,” she said. “But when you have a baby, you’re not planning on moving anywhere anytime soon!”
