Tyrese Files Motion Asking Judge To Hold Ex-Wife In Contempt For Denied Visitation
Earlier this week we told you about an incident involving singer Tyrese and his ex-wife, Norma. The dispute began Tuesday night when Tyrese went to pick up their 6-year-old daughter, Shayla. When he arrived to Norma’s North Hollywood home, she reportedly denied the singer visitation, insisting that Shayla was under the weather. According to reports, Tyrese refused to take no for an answer and as a result, Norma called the police. Once the officers arrived on the scene, they explained why Tyrese could not take the child. He left Norma’s home without Shayla and without causing a scene, but he’s definitely not taking Norma’s visitation denial lying down.
According to TMZ, the “Stay” singer has filed a formal motion to hold Norma in contempt of court for violating their custody order. In the legal filing, he quotes from the custody order, which reads:
“[Tyrese] shall have custody of Shayla every Tuesday with pick-up from school, and if no school, pick-up from [Norma’s] residence at 10:00 a.m.”
If a judge grants Tyrese’s motion, Norma could possibly face prison time. However, we highly doubt that things would go that far. Hopefully they can find a way to work things out and continue to co-parent in an amicable manner.
