Money Questions to Ask Your Partner Before Getting Hitched
3. What’s your credit score?
Ah, the credit score question. If you marry someone whose credit score is lower than a badly deflated boob job, you’re in for quite a number of lifestyle surprises. Once you become married, you and your spouse assume joint credit responsibility on big purchases such as home loans. You may not be able to purchase important items if your spouse’s credit score is poor. It’s best to work with your partner, or each other, to recover your individual credit scores by paying bills on time, and accumulating only good debt (such as school loans) on your credit report. Talk to a credit counselor before you get married!
