Eight Shows to Watch for Fashion’s Sake

8)  Tabatha’s Salon Takeover

This last show is a personal favorite since I am love with the Australian beauty that is Tabatha Coffey. Coffey is a hair stylist who was once a contestant on the Bravo series Shear Geniusand salon owner of Industrie Hair Gurus in Ridgewood, New Jersey. The Tinkerbell look-a-like sprinkles cynical fairy dust on salon owners throughout the country in an attempt to help them whip into shape their salons that are on the verge of closing. Besides a biting wit and caustic criticism, the best thing about the show is the fact that Coffey makes basic black intriguing and Hot. Coffey states that part of the reason she dresses in all black is due to the fact that it’s a “hairdresser’s color” and looks “professional” placing the focus on the client and not your wardrobe. Still, Coffey manages to steal the spotlight and make a runway out of the cutting room floor in looks that play with leather and lace.  Although, black is often seen as a color of mystery, Coffey’s style is often bluntly direct and an example of just how Hot being an expert is.
