Exclusive Interview: Michelle Williams is ready to shine
What message is Talbert trying to send?
MW: “It’s a story about forgiveness. I’m not saying that if somebody cheats in your marriage, you have to take them back. It’s kind of like God. If you strayed away from home, God is right there. We’re going to add that element of redemption. I believe in everything there has to be consequences and redemption.
AN: “He’s telling a story that is not so unusual to us on a daily basis. So many families hide secrets and they try to hide secrets because they feel it may be hurtful or dysfunctional to the family. And then again it comes a time when those secrets have to be exposed. It comes full circle where you can’t hide it anymore.
What cities are you looking forward to performing in?
MW: “A lot of the markets. Some of the places I haven’t been to since 2000 when Destiny’s Child hadn’t peaked yet. It’s great to go back and touch the people. They get to know just me they get to see me. So I’m happy about that…and some of those places got good restaurants.”
AN: “Rockford, Illinois is very near and dear to my heart. It’s the city my father was a pastor. A lot of my years were spent there in church where both of my parents are still living and pastoring.”
BW: “All of them. For me this trip is about meeting David’s fan base and Michelle’s fan base, a lot of people who may not know who I am. I’m excited to roll up my sleeves and get out there and hopefully bring a smile to people’s faces and entertain them for a while”
