Exclusive Interview: Michelle Williams is ready to shine

January 21, 2011  |

How is acting for the stage different than movies or concerts?

Brian White: “Acting is telling truth.  It’s no different.

The thing about David is that he works with eight cameras. We’re shooting a film while we’re doing a play. He doesn’t get to the level of theatrics. He keeps it in the realm of reality. “

“The writing makes it feel like the most eloquent film. It’s organic within the lines. I think he brings a lot of new things to TV, film and theater.”

MW: “It’s a little different, the audience is a little more interactive [in concerts] even in a popular musical the audience kind of sits there. The audience cannot sing along. ‘They’re like look we paid all this money you better know your lines.’ It’s just a different way of expressing yourself.”
