Not a lot of people make it out of a shooting unscathed. However, there are plenty celebrities that have been shot and lived to tell about it. While some of these celebrities were in a life and death situation, others were left with small injuries. Here are 14 celebs who were shot and lived, thankfully!

Kelly Preston

Back in 1990, Kelly Preston was accidentally shot in the arm. At the time, she was engaged to Charlie Sheen and rumors swirled that he shot her when his gun fell out of his pocket. It wasn’t until 2011 that Sheen and Preston opened up about the incident and squashed all rumors. Sheen and Preston weren’t in the same room when the gun went off so Sheen wasn’t at fault.

50 Cent

In 2000, 50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson, was visiting his grandmother’s home in Queens, NY when he was attacked. The gunman shot him nine times and amazingly, 50 lived through it all. He was shot in the hand, both legs, face, arm, and hip. He spent 13 days in the hospital to recover from his injury. After the incident he was left with a slight slur as well as a bullet fragment in his tongue.

On October 23, 2005, Cam’ron was leaving a Washington D.C. nightclub and was stopped at a red light while driving his infamous blur 2006 Lamborghini. A passenger of a nearby car told Cam’ron to give up his Lambo but he resisted. The other man shot Cam’ron and he was hit in the arm. He was able to make it to Howard University Hospital, with the help of a fan. To this day, no one has been charged with the shooting and Cam’ron says he wouldn’t snitch even if he did know.

Isaiah Washington

Known as one of the former star actors of the show Grey’s Anatomy, Isaiah Washington has been pretty mum about being shot, but blamed it on making dumb decisions as a teenager. According to Isaiah, when he was young he said the wrong things to the wrong person and got shot. Clearly he still hasn’t quite learned how to control his tongue as an adult.

Garrett Morris

Garrett Morris is a well-known comedian and is even more known for his role in 2 Broke Girls; however, back in 1994, Morris experienced a situation that was no laughing matter. On February 25 in Los Angeles, he was shot in the arm and chest during an attempted robbery. Morris recovered and continued his career through a role on the show Martin.

In 2005, Akon and his crew were attacked during a drive-by shooting. The shooting killed Robert Montanez, who was Akon’s friend and manager at the time. Akon was shot in the shoulder and made a full recovery. After the shooting Akon released Konvicted, which was dedicated to Montanez.

On October 17, 2006, rapper Fabolous was shot once in the thigh after a random man approached him and his crew in a Manhattan parking garage. After the shooting, Fabolous and his crew fled the scene, which caught the attention of police. The police pulled over the car and found two unlicensed guns. Fabolous and the three others were arrested.

Vanilla Ice

Though Vanilla Ice hasn’t said much about the incident, he was wounded by a bullet during a street fight. In 1987 he was stabbed four times outside of a nightclub in South Dallas, which hospitalized him for 10 days. Despite his injuries, Vanilla Ice went on to be quite successful in the music industry.

Ol’ Dirty Bastard

Ol’ Dirty Bastard hasn’t had it easy. Back in 1994 he was shot in the stomach after arguing with another rapper on a Brooklyn street but was able to recover completely. Just four years later in 1998 he was shot during an attempted robbery in Brownsville, Brooklyn. His wounds were superficial and he didn’t require extensive hospitalization.

Andy Warhol

On June 3, 1968, Andy Warhol was shot by a radical feminist named Valarie Solonas at his studio. The attack seriously wounded Warhol and he almost died. Doctors had to manually massage Warhol’s heart to keep him alive. After the attack he had to wear a surgical corset for the rest of his life. A movie was created about the attack called I Shot Andy Warhol.

Bob Marley

Two days before Bob Marley and his group were to put on a free concert at Kingston’s National Heroes Park to promote peace, an unidentified gunman broke into his home. The intruders shot Bob, Rita, and two of his friends but they all survived the attack. They all went on to perform at the concert despite the attack.

The Game

Back in 2001, The Game was shot five times after a failed drug deal. At the time he was only 18 and was involved in his brothers gang, “Big Fase 100.” During the attack he was shot in the leg, arms, heart, and stomach. In order to save his life, he was placed in a three-day coma. The attack spurred The Game’s desire to start a rapping career.

Lil Wayne

Crazily enough, Lil Wayne wasn’t shot by someone else, but shot himself accidentally. When he was only 12, he shot himself in the stomach with a 9mm handgun. Thankfully an off-duty police officer was willing to help him and drove Lil Wayne to the hospital. If it wasn’t for him, Lil Wayne probably would have died.

Obie Trice

While driving on Lodge Freeway in Detriot the night before New Years Eve of 2006, Obie Trice was shot after a car pulled up close to his car and fired four shots. One of those bullets struck Trice in the back of the head. According to doctors, if the bullet had gone less than an inch deeper into his brain, he would have died. Doctors decided it was best to leave the bullet in Trice’s head.
