Just Thought You Should Know: George Zimmerman To Fight In Celebrity Boxing Match

January 31, 2014  |

We love America as our homeland but we’d be remiss if we didn’t admit that it can be a very sick and sadistic place sometimes. You see the picture above? It’s terrifying right?! In my opinion I’m looking at a murderer and alleged wife beater, smiling and holding his fists up like he’s going to inflict more physical pain onto yet another person.

And while I’m sad to report this, I think it’s important y’all know what’s going on out here in this sick world of ours. So…here it goes.

Celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman offered George Zimmerman money to step into the ring and he agreed, though an opponent has yet to be selected.

Feldman told TMZ that this is not a race thing and George is open to fighting anyone. He said, “We’re not looking at it as a race thing…We haven’t discussed purple, yellow, white, black.”

Not only do I find it disgusting that George is being toted as a celebrity but even worse that he stands to make money if this fight goes on. According to TMZ though, he plans to give the money to charity. I don’t know why but I seem to have a problem trusting that George will donate this money to charity. First because he’s not trustworthy and secondly because I’m almost positive that the man is not gainfully employed right now.

If anyone wants to head over to Change.org and start a petition to stop this madness, or make sure they boycott the fight should it ever happen and air on television, be my guest.

But on the other hand, there are several who would leap at the opportunity to legally lay hands on Zimmerman. Rapper, The Game may be considering it. He told TMZ, “I will beat the f**k out of him.” He continued, “I would not be boxing for me. I’d be boxing for the legacy of Trayvon Martin and for his family.”

I doubt Sybrina and Tracy would really approve of this. It does kind of make a mockery of all they’ve been fighting for for almost two years now.

Game, who has a tattoo of Trayvon on his leg says, “I would box him to knock him out. I would definitely take pleasure in it. It’s legal and I want to show him you can solve your disputes without a weapon.”

I doubt that’s the lesson George would take from all of this.

What do you think about all of this, is this a chance for Zimmerman to get a taste of his own medicine or is it just sick?
