How to Be a Power Player at Work

It’s 2011, the 21st century, so issues of inequality (racism and sexism) should be a thing of the past. But as a double minority, black women can surely attest to the fact that this, unfortunately, just isn’t a reality. While we are certainly making strides in the right direction, (attending and graduating college, serving as CEOs etc.) you may find that being a black woman in the workplace is not the easiest position to occupy. Yet this is not an insurmountable obstacle, just a challenge to be conquered. Women of the cubicle, board room, and corner office here are some tips to give the men in your office a run for their money.
