Marcus T. Paulk Dodges Jail Time In Domestic Violence Case
Over the summer we told you that former “Moesha” star Marcus T. Paulk was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, putting her in the hospital. The alleged victim, who prefers to be called by her stage name, Andi Roxx, told investigators that the altercation began after the couple shared a night out at Confidential, a Beverly Hills nightclub. The fight was reportedly triggered by Marcus’ failure to pay attention to Andi during their outing. Andi accused to former child star of punching her in the chin and kicking her in the stomach.
Three months following the incident, Marcus was officially charged with domestic violence and battery. It’s still unclear what took the District Attorney so long to bring the 26-year-old “Red Tails” actor up on official charges. The charges carry a maximum sentence of four years in prison, but luckily for Marcus, he was able to avoid serving any actual jail time.
According to TMZ, Marcus struck a plea deal. In compliance with the deal, the actor plead no contest to one count of battery and in exchange, had four other charges dropped. As a part of the deal, Marcus will also be required to stay 100 yards away from his ex-girlfriend and enroll in a year-long domestic violence treatment program. The actor has yet to publicly comment on the incident. Let’s hope he’s learned his lesson.
