When Ciara’s high school sweetheart, LaKyle Thomas, tossed around hints on social media that he was still in love with the singer, some wild rumors began floating around—including one crazy rumor that he’s actually the father of her unborn child. Though the rumors seemed a little wacky and extremely hard to believe, LaKyle’s response to those rumors is even wackier.
“It’s God’s baby,” he said when confronted with the rumors during a recent interview.
I mean, we guess, LaKyle. But a simple no would’ve done the trick. The male model and actor also slammed media outlets for reporting that he was still pining over Ci Ci, adding that the recent social media posts that he made about the “I’m Out” singer were just a joke.
“They been taking the story and putting it upside down on me,” LaKyle said. “I had already posted that picture on Facebook like a year and a half ago. So it’s already out there. Ciara just came out on ‘The View’ and told everyone that she was pregnant. You know, she showed the world. I was just at work, people was teasing me about it. It was just a joke. The media got a hold to it and really just turned it upside down on me. It made it look like I wanted her back and I miss her so much and I wish it was my baby. That’s just how the media works. Everybody is just trying to make it look like… it was just puppy love.”
Ironically, LaKyle did confess that if Ci Ci were still on the market, he’d definitely put his bid in.
“Since the gloves are off… at the end of the day, if she was still on the market, yeah, I’d definitely go for it. She’s a good woman. But right now she’s engaged—happy for her, happy for the baby.”
So yeah, there’s a possibly that the posts were all a joke; however, some of his other comments make it seem like he’s just looking to get a little more shine at Ci Ci’s expense.
