Reality Rumors: Are Momma Dee And Deb Antney About To Headline Their Own Reality Show?
Remember when we used to joke that we were going to round up Momma Dee, Nancy and Frankie and pitch our own reality show? Well yeah, it looks like that’s about to actually happen. Well not exactly, but something similar. According to Friday Foster over at All Hip Hop, a few popular hip hop moms are being courted to star in a new reality show.
Details are scarce, however, the names being thrown around so far include Teresa Caldwell (Bow Wow’s Mom), T-Pain’s mother, Lil Wayne’s mother, Momma Dee (Lil’ Scrappy’s mom) and Deb Antney (Waka Flocka’s mom). We hear Mama Jones has also gotten a few calls.According to reports, Deb Antney isn’t really feeling the idea, although she would probably be most ideal for a show like this, considering her heavy involvement in the music industry. As for the other moms, they’re reportedly holding out for the show to be presented under circumstances that they’re comfortable with because they don’t want to be an embarrassment to their sons.
At this point nothing has been confirmed by the aforementioned moms, nor do we expect anything to be confirmed for a minute. It seems that the project (or projects) are still in very early pre-production/pitching stages. However, it appears that there is a possibility that this could all come to fruition. It’s actually pretty surprising that “Love & Hip Hop” executive producer Mona Scott-Young hasn’t jumped all over something like this already. Anyhoo, we’ll keep you posted as further details develop.
Just a little peek at what might happen if this show gets the green light.
