Looks Like They’ve Found Their Star: Will The Game Be Joining The Cast Of ‘Love & Hip Hop LA?’
Last week we reported that Mona Scott-Young and VH1 producers hit a huge bump in the road while pulling things together for their franchise spin-off “Love & Hip Hop LA.” According to reports, casting was scheduled to begin later this month; however, casting directors are having a difficult time wrangling a big name star to headline the show. As previously reported, reality TV vet Ray J was supposed to be the spin-off’s breakout star, but unfortunately, his schedule is all tied up, as he’s busy filming for Oxygen’s “Bad Girls Club All-Stars.” Sources close to production say that VH1 and Mona plan to go ahead and film the stories of the show’s smaller stars like Brooke Valentine and video Vixen Brie Myles until they can secure a bigger star.
Luckily for Mona and the folks over at VH1, it looks like not all hope is lost. Apparently The Game is being courted to play some sort of role on the show. Yesterday the rapper shared a photo of himself alongside Mona Scott-Young and what we presume to be the “Love & Hip Hop LA” production team having lunch at Crustacean in Beverly Hills.
This actually makes a lot of sense, as The Game is already a part of the VH1 family. While I’m sure The Game would be a cool addition to “Love & Hip Hop LA,” part of me is secretly wishing that Ray J signs on once filming for “Bad Girls Club All-Stars” wraps up. For some strange reason, he makes for great reality television.
So far nothing official has been confirmed on behalf of The Game or VH1 as to whether or not he’ll actually be joining the cast; however, it looks like there is a great chance that he will be. We’ll keep you posted as further details emerge.
Do you think The Game would make a good addition to the show?
