Newlyweds Bobbi Kristina & Nick Gordon Discuss Grandma Cissy Houston’s Reaction To Their Marriage

- By

Last week we told you that Bobbi Kristina Brown and on-again, off-again fiancé, Nick Gordon, finally decided to take the plunge and get married—officially. We were tipped off to the news by the newlyweds themselves when Bobbi Kris shared a photo message to Twitter about being happily married, while showing off their new wedding rings.

“#HappilyMarried SO #Inlove,” the aspiring singer wrote. “If you didn’t get it the first time that is.”

TMZ recently caught up with Bobbi and Nick, who happily flaunted their new jewels for the cameras and confirmed that they are “officially married.” Though they wouldn’t disclose exactly when they made things official, they did reveal that they received Krissy’s grandmother, Cissy Houston’s blessing.

“Yes, we did,” they said in unison. “No [she wasn’t at the ceremony],” Nick continued. “We saw her at  [Krissy’s] cousin’s sweet sixteen and she gave us her blessing.”

“She’s very happy,” Krissy added. “She gave us her blessing.”

This of course is a huge deal, as just last summer Cissy expressed in an open letter that she did not approve of Krissy’s engagement to Nick. And while Cissy was not present at the wedding ceremony, chances are she’ll be at the ceremony that the couple plan to hold next year.

“Next year, the ceremony will be beautiful, very intimate,” Nick expressed.

As for how they believe Whitney would’ve reacted to the news of Krissy marrying Nick, the lovebirds say that this is exactly what the later singer would’ve wanted.

“This is what she wanted,” said Nick.

“This is exactly what she wanted, us together,” Krissy added.

They seem very happy and I’m sure that Krissy is relieved that grandma Cissy offered her blessing. Maybe her father, Bobby Brown, will get on board as well.
