As co-founder, CEO and chairman of Xiaomi, one of China’s fastest growing smartphone companies, it isn’t much of a surprise that Jun has officially joined the billionaire ranks. In 2010, Jun, former chairman and CEO of Kingsoft, founded Xiaomi. This privately owned company designs, develops and sells smartphones, apps and consumer electronics. By October of 2013, Xiaomi was reported as the fifth most used smartphone brand in China and September of 2013 saw the company announcing plans to launch an Android-based 47-inch 3D-capable Smart TV. Jun’s net worth recently hit the $1.75 billion mark.
