Welcome To The Billionaire’s Club: 9 Entrepreneurs Who Know What It Means To Be Rolling In The Dough
Italian fashion designer Renzo Rosso stamped his mark on the world through his Diesel jeans company, founded in 1978. In 1992, Rosso expanded the brand to include Diesel Farm where he began producing wine and olive oil. Later 55DSL was born, inspired by a passion for snowboarding Rosso shares with his sons. And the enterprising businessman also bought The Pelican Hotel, located on Miami’s South Beach strip. The Diesel brand has also partnered on fragrances, bicycles, and home décor products. Through a holding company called Only The Brave, Rosso has also spent the last decade snapping up majority stakes in small fashion houses such as Maison Martin Margiela and Viktor & Rolf. All told, Rosso’s net worth now stands in the $3 billion dollar range.
