Yesterday we told you that rapper Young Jeezy (Jay Wayne Jenkins) was arrested and charged with battery, false imprisonment and making terroristic threats against his 17-year-old son, Jadarius. Though Jeezy turned himself over to the authorities after a warrant was issued for his arrest on Friday, TMZ is reporting that the “R.I.P.” rapper maintains his innocence, insisting that he never brutalized or made death threats against his son.

According to reports, Jeezy is blaming his son’s mother, Tenesha Dykes, for setting up the entire incident. She is also being painted by some outlets as a bitter gold digger; however, we can’t say for sure exactly where those accusations came from. Sources close to the situation say Jeezy and Jadarius did get into a huge argument, but it never became physical. Sources also add that the argument began after Jeezy told Jadarius that he’d turned into a punk and he didn’t want him to stay at his house anymore. His father’s comments reportedly prompted Jadarius to become belligerent and things escalated into a screaming match.

Jeezy maintains that he never hit, choked or dragged Jadarius; however, he does admit that he shoved him to the ground when he got in his face. As for the accusations that he threatened to take Jadarius’ life, the rapper says he simply said something to the effect of, “I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it.” In a nut shell, Tenesha is being accused of brainwashing Jadarius against his father and exaggerating the incident to get more money out of Jeezy.

This entire situation is super messy. Hopefully Jeezy and Jadarius can reach some sort of resolution.
