Don’t Be an Uptight Prude
The best thing about social media, in terms of business, is that it’s easy access to a wide-range of customers. The downside, of course, is the lack of personal interaction. You can rectify this by adding a ‘lil humor and wit to your social media usage; this reminds users that “Hey, there’s a real person behind this Twitter name!” It humanizes the social media experience.
Taco Bell is a prime example of this. “I wish someone looked at me the way I look at @TacoBell,” the fast food chain playfully tweets. Taco Bell has acquired nearly one million followers. We doubt that that many people love the franchise’s mystery meat, but people sure do appreciate light-hearted tweets.
