After record coffee production by Brazil in 2012, overall prices for coffee beans have dropped throughout the year and are expected to continue to decrease.  “Prices for a pound of coffee have already fallen more than 12 percent so far this year, and there’s no end in sight to dropping prices,” notes MSN Money. But don’t look for Starbucks to cut the price of a latte–the retail chain has pocketed a bigger profit without passing along the savings to consumers.
