Real Offers Post-Surgery Update; Says Cancer Is Almost Gone
Earlier this year we learned the heartbreaking news that former “Real Chance of Love” star Ahmad “Real” Givens had been diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. After undergoing chemotherapy treatment, the reality star finally went in for the surgery that is expected to save his life. Givens took to Twitter to make the announcement on Wednesday.
A representative on behalf of Givens has since reached out to TMZ to offer an update. Though it was originally believed by physicians that he was suffering from colon cancer, his surgeons discovered that stage four rectal cancer was actually the culprit. Doctors says that they’re pretty confident that they were able to remove most of the cancer—including the seven tumors found in his liver. There was, however, a small portion of one tumor that they were not able to completely take out because it was very deep in his liver. But they believe the remnants can be eliminated through radiation. The representative adds that Givens has a great chance of beating the illness.
We’re glad to hear that his surgery was a success.
