They Weren’t Always Large & In Charge: These Famous Celebs Once Had Internships Like The Rest Of Us
One of the most famous, if not infamous, celebrity interns was Diddy before he created Bad Boy Records in the 1990s. While attending Howard University where he majored in business, Diddy had an internship at Uptown Records. Dropping out of college in the late 1980s, Diddy focused all of his attention on making it in the music industry and climbed the ladder successfully, going from an unpaid intern to an A&R executive. After getting fired from Uptown Records, he started his own record label in conjunction with Arista, Bad Boy Records, and the rest is history. Piggybacking off of his success from interning, Diddy even created a reality television show for aspiring music professionals, I Want To Work For Diddy, offering prospective interns a chance to be his personal assistant.
