Anyone with eyes could see that NeNe and Kenya’s friendship was not going to survive to see season seven. Though we’re still watching their relationship fall to pieces on “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” in real life, their friendship is already a wrap. During a recent appearance on the “Wendy Williams Show,” Kenya opened up about what she thinks went wrong in their relationship and according to her, it has everything to do with NeNe’s acting career going from hot to lukewarm in five Hollywood minutes.

“Last season she had all of these jobs,” said Kenya. “She was this Hollywood actress and she had arrived and she had made it. And this season she doesn’t have any of that.”

Kenya went on to say that last season, NeNe was very encouraging and now she’s a bit insecure.

“Last season she welcomed me and was like, ‘Oh, Kenya do your thing.’ And now, all of a sudden this is all she has…being a housewife. Things change. Things drastically change. I’m not sure, you’ll have to make the decision for yourself when you watch it in full.”

She wouldn’t comment on whether or not she speaks to NeNe at all but she did say that we’ll get to see things play out this season.

“It’s not like it used to be. You’ll see in the upcoming episodes, it gets really bad. It gets really bad.”

Of course, when a reality star says things get ugly with a co-star, most fans assume the worst, expecting physical altercations and hair pulling, but Kenya promises that they never resort to those classless antics.

“We never demean ourselves in that way. The ‘Housewives’ have never gotten into a physical altercation on our show.”

Kenya also offered an apology for the sextgate scandal involving Phaedra’s husband, Apollo.

“Considering everything, I can say that I was wrong. Me and his wife fell out, we weren’t friends and for him to be texting me… he initiated the text, but I returned the text. And they were friendly, but I apologize for that. I apologize to the world. I was wrong.”

Do you think NeNe is hating on Kenya because her acting career isn’t what it was last season?
