When selfies in your swimsuit don’t send the message clear enough that your post-baby body is back to pre-baby form, what do the famous do? Magazine covers!
Kim Kardashian shared her transformed body on the cover of the new issue of Us Weekly (on sale Friday). The reality star was photographed walking down the beach in a white bikini as the headline reads, “My Body is Back! No Gimmicks, No Surgery!” Inside the issue, she shares her diet plan that helped the 33-year-old mom of Nori West drop major pounds. And while posing on the cover in a magazine in close to nothing should scream confidence, Kim actually looks a little uncomfortable in her photos. Maybe it’s the smirk smile? Or perhaps the awkward way she’s holding her arms back? It seems Kim was so hell-bent on showing off her changing body to give the world that middle finger she keeps talking about that she didn’t even stop to make sure she was 100% ready to be so exposed to the public.
But then again, I have to give it to Kim because she looks great! We’re all for folks working hard on their bodies and wanting to share the results of that hard work. However, it seems like ever since Nori came out of her body she’s done everything she can to get small and get small fast, not necessarily to be happy with her own figure, but to show it off for the public and to get back at the detractors who came at her during her pregnancy. She just gave birth in June, so there was no real huge rush for her to shed the pounds (as there would be with a model or athlete maybe), but Kim, who at one point seemed like she wanted to take a break from the limelight, always feels like she has something to prove. Congrats on the body, but do it for you, boo, not for us.
